Access to health services for Afghan people especially (mother and child) is OFRD program since 2011 by our Youth Resource Center (YRC). After a two-decade war with the US-supported Afghan government, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) took over most of Afghanistan by 15th August 2021. Amidst the conflict, the coronavirus-2019 (COVID-19) disease was declared a global emergency and Afghanistan was also hit by the COVID-19. At OFRD’s AHS, we want to ensure the most vulnerable populations – particularly mother and child – continue to have safe access to essential health services.

The OFRD remains committed to supporting Afghan people in the fight against HIV, TB, malaria, polio and COVID-19 and strengthening overall systems for health and nutrition services in rural and urban areas. We look forward to our continued efforts with our stakeholders in all provinces of Afghanistan and call on international donors to urgently provide funding to ensure the continuity of lifesaving programs and help the Afghan people in a time of humanitarian crises.
